Coffee with the Chief: October 12th @ 10 AM

Have you ever had questions for officers or the Chief of police? Join us for Meet the Chief and ask questions over a cup of coffee or tea.

Safety Week Kick Off Event: October 12th @ 12 PM
Main Quad
You will be seeing emergency vehicles driving around campus. This is to create attention for Safety Week! If you have questions you should go to the Tabling Event that will be in the Main Quad today! Get information or stop by to ask questions on any other events going on this week.

Safety Week Bicycle Information and Registration: October 12 @ 12 PM
Recreation Center
Bring your bicycle for maintenance and bicycle safety advice. Don’t forget to get your bicycle registered (yes it is FREE). The Sonoma County Bike Coalition will be here to answer all your bike related questions as well.

Online Information Security and Presentation: October 12 @ 12:30 PM
Schulz Library, Room 3001
Bring in a bag lunch and find out how to stay safe and protect yourself online. Feel free to ask questions or advise us of your concerns.

Self Defense Class: October 13th @ 11:30 AM
Recreation Center
Join us for a self-defense class. Learn to acquire self-defense education in a relatively short period of time, with the lifelong commitment required for physical skill mastery. Please note this class is for SSU Students only.

Safety Week Resources and Education Tabling: October 13th @ 12 PM
Main Quad
Stop by and get important information regarding sexual assault awareness and ask questions on how you can prevent sexual assault. Also get ready for the self-defense class or get information on the video that will be showed in the evening.

Join us for information dealing with Alcohol Awareness. Rohnert Park Department of Public Safety and SSUPD officers will explain DUI’s and answer questions. Help save a life a donate blood. Test your knowledge of how to party smart, get tips to keep yourself and your friends safe next time you go out to party, and learn about campus resources.

Car Crash and Vehicle Extrication Demo: October 14th @ 12:30 PM
Check out a real vehicle that was involved in a DUI accident. Join the Rancho Adobe Fire Department to see, first hand, how they get passengers extricated from vehicles and feel free to ask questions.

Those Amazing Goggles: October 14th @ 6 PM
Recreation Center
Did you miss the event in the Quad today? Stop by to discover what it is really like when you are attempting to do normal activities and what it looks like when you are intoxicated.

First Aid and CPR Class: October 15th @ 10 AM
Recreation Center
Are you, or have you, been wanting to learn how to save a life? Join us at the Rec Center to learn some lifesaving first aid and CPR. This class is expected to fill up so plan ahead and sign up at the Rec Center’s front desk.

Drop, Cover, and Hold On!: October 15th @ 10:15 AM

Have you practiced how to protect yourself in an earthquake? Participate in this year’s Shake Out drill that is happening TODAY at 10:15am at SSU! We want to see your pictures. Post using #SafeSonomaSelfie

Join us in learning how to be prepared in an event of an emergency. Learn how to make a disaster kit, safely evacuate a building, and learn about earthquakes.
