SPOKE Featuring Sam Sax

A monthly space where people in the SSU community can come to listen to one another and share their talents (and the stage) with brilliant, established poets in the national poetry community. SPOKE is our chance to foster creative and artistic expression while establishing a culture of honesty, compassion, respect and change. All performers are welcome! Bring something to share (even if it isn’t yours) and be ready to let SSU surprise you.

Sam Sax is a 2015 NEA Creative Writing Fellow and Poetry Fellow at The Michener Center for Writers where he serves as the Editor-in-chief of Bat City Review. He's the two-time Bay Area Grand Slam Champion & author of the chapbooks A Guide to Undressing Your Monsters (Button 2014), sad boy/detective (Black Lawrence 2015),  and All The Rage.
