Wednesday, April 6th: Many Types of Minds | 12 PM | The Learning Center, Salazar Hall, Room 1040

An opportunity to learn about individual strengths and how to use those strengths in and outside of the classroom.

Friday, April 8th: Read & Write Gold For Beginners | 10 AM & 1 PM | Stevenson Hall, Room 2044

Come learn about a brand new, FREE tool available for the entire SSU community that assists with proofreading, research, grammar, notetaking, reading comprehension, and more!

Tuesday, April 12th: Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) Presentation | 1:30 PM | Student Affairs Conference Room, International Hall, Room 203

Department of Rehabilitation (DOR) is a state-run agency that assists people with disabilities reach vocational goals. This is a great resource to learn about for anyone who is currently working with, will work with, or is a person with a disability.

Tuesday, April 19th: When You Feel Like a Lemon Among Oranges: Transforming Difference | 4 PM | The Learning Center, Salazar Hall, Room 1040

An opportunity to learn and discuss how differences can be transformed into strengths.

 Thursday, April 21st: Welcome to Inclusivity 101 | 2 PM | Salazar Hall, Room 1051

An opportunity to learn general information about types of disabilities, accessibility, inclusive language, and various resources.

Monday, April 25th: SSU Disability Awareness Documentary Screening | 6 PM | Darwin Hall, Room 102

Films: “Uplifting Down: Nigeria” Working together to accept, educate, and inspire people’s beliefs about Down’s Syndrome.

“Surfing the Spectrum” Learn about a local program in San Rafael where children with special needs have the opportunity to learn how to surf.
