Hamlet

“F*CK the POWER”   The world is upside down:  Rebellion, revenge, kingdoms rising and falling, ghosts rising from the dead, and children and parents slipping from each other’s grasps. When young Prince Hamlet’s father the king dies, his mother marries his uncle, his father’s murderer. Urged on the ghost of his dead father, Hamlet stalks his uncle, seeking revenge - ready to overthrow old ideas and install his own new reality.

A revenge tragedy, Hamlet tells the story of an innocent young man plunged into a sea of corruption and subterfuge. Director and SSU Professor Paul Draper goes one step further, transporting the cast into contemporary context in modern dress, on an intimate stage.  Don't miss SSU's production of Hamlet, May 3-8. Recommended advance ticket purchase - the first show (May 3) is already SOLD OUT.
