What To Expect During Move-In Weekend: August 16-18

Move-In Weekend is quickly approaching! Seawolf Living is excited to welcome new and returning students to Sonoma State University. Each year we look forward to having over 3,100 students live on-campus.  We know, move-in weekend can be an emotional experience, therefore we do our best to ease some of those feelings upon arrival to SSU. Here is some exciting and important information to know for Move-in Weekend!

Attend Mandatory Village Meeting: Every student who lives on-campus is assigned a specific building within one of the 5 villages. During Move-In weekend, your Community Service Advisor (CSA) will explain all the rules that must be followed within the community. They also plan activities to help you get to know your neighbors!

Take a Tour: It is important to find your classes before the first day of class. You don't want to get lost or arrive late to class!

Pick up your Textbooks: Stop by the University Store on the 2nd floor of the Student Center to get your textbooks and SSU Gear (t-shirt, sweatshirt, water bottle, etc.)

Attend the Move-In Weekend BBQ: The annual BBQ will be take place on Saturday, August 16 from 4pm-6pm in front of Person Theater. Come enjoy delicious food while meeting new friends!

First Night with the Evasons: Mentalist Duo We are pleased to welcome Jeff & Tessa Evason on Saturday, August 16 from 9-11pm in the Student Center Grand Ballroom. Get the chance to experience these magnificent entertainers show off their talent! You will be sitting on the edge of your seat from start to finish.

Big Nite: This annual event takes place every Sunday during Move-In Weekend, right outside the Student Center/ Rec Center from 8pm-12am. Take advantage of this event and meet clubs and organizations. As well as enjoy carnival games & rides. Don't miss out on this opportunity to have a great night!

SonFest: This annual event is happening on Monday, August 18 from 3-5pm in the Rec Center. It is geared specifically toward incorporating healthy habits and practicing sustainability into your college lifestyle. Everyone should check out this event. There will be fun activities and free food!
