Sonoma State has some wonderful clubs and organizations on-campus and University Culinary Services loves to support them through Club Fundraiser nights! This semester fundraisers will be held on Thursday nights from 5-11 PM at Lobo's. Below is a list of club and organizations fundraiser nights and some information about each club. Be sure to mark these dates in your calendars and come out to support Sonoma State clubs and organizations!
September 4th: Nursing Club
The Nursing Club encourages anyone that has interest in the nursing profession to come join our club! We plan philanthropic events and donate to charities, mentor pre-nursing students, invite guest speakers, and much much more.
September 11th: Black Scholars United
The Black Scholars United organization was founded on the principles of academic excellence, political involvement and community service.
September 18th: Kappa Delta Zeta
We, the sisters of Kappa Delta Zeta at Sonoma State Univeristy, strive to instill the importance of friendship, academics, and community involvement while playing an active role in the university. In addition, we pledge to provide opportunities for female students to intellectually, personally, and professionally enhance their college experience.
September 25th: Lambda Sigma Gamma Sorority Inc.
Lambda Sigma Gamma was founded with the purpose of creating a support system for women once they have entered the university. We provide our members a family away from home in order to facilitate the retention of motivated students. Through support, the members of Lambda Sigma Gamma have developed a strong, safe and loving environment where friendships grow, characters build, knowledge is shared, and a multicultural sisterhood is created.
October 2nd: Filipino American Association of Sonoma State University (FAASSU)
As Sonoma State's proud Filipino-American student organization, FAASSU offers a variety of social, cultural and political events available to anyone and everyone.
October 9th: Sapphires Dance Team
SSU Sapphires Dance Team performs at all home basketball games, Midnight Madness and has recently begun to compete. Appearance at 2012 USA NATIONALS with a 2nd place finish. LOVE TO DANCE!! PEACE LOVE SAPPHIRES!
October 16th: Wine Sense Club
A club created to introduce the University to the wines of Sonoma, Napa and Lake Counties. Managed by Sonoma State Wine Business students.
October 23rd: Student California Teacher's Association
Student California Teachers Association is a pre-professional organization for college students in California who are pursuing careers in education. Our mission is “to offer the tools necessary to foster interest in the education profession, as well as provide pre-professionals information about their rights, responsibilities, and support systems necessary to become a committed part of the education profession.”
October 30th: Alpha Psi
The lone local Fraternity at Sonoma State, founded March 17, 2005 by 18 men. Built on the virtues of Brotherhood, Honesty, and Loyalty. Alpha Psi strives to maintain academic excellence, help those in need, and treat others with the highest respect. Holds an annual philanthropic event to benefit the Napa Emergency Women's Shelter, and the Sonoma State Campus with Casey's Pledge.
November 6th: Mathematics Club
Math Club is a place where math students and non-math students alike can come together and develop friendships and bonds within the mathematics community.
November 13th: Women's Club Soccer
Bringing women at Sonoma State Univeristy together to play, compete, and enjoy the game of soccer.
November 20th: International Education and Exchange Council (IEEC)
Creating a community and support system for students who want to study abroad, are studying abroad, have studied abroad, and International Students at SSU.
December 4th: Primitivo Public Relations
Primitivo is a student-operated public relations firm associated with the Communication Studies department at Sonoma State University. Our mission is to assist campus clients in fulfilling all of their communication needs using efficient and value-driven methods.
