Counseling And Psychological Services (CAPS) is a unit of the division of Student Affairs of Sonoma State University. CAPS offers confidential counseling to students experiencing personal problems that interfere with their academic progress, career or well being.
Some of the services that CAPS offer include: short term counseling (individuals and couples), group counseling, support groups, workshops, crisis consultation and intervention, campus outreach and community referrals. There are lots of reasons why students visit CAPS for help but some of the issues that are commonly addressed in the short term counseling sessions are personal issues, academic concerns, developmental issues, relationship issues, etc.
College is a hard time, but you don't need to go through it alone. CAPS is here to make sure that you get the help that you need and deserve. Don't hesitate to contact them with any questions or concerns you might have.
