With Sonoma State being as small as it is, it's relatively easy to build relationships with your professors that will help you be successful long past your time here.
Go to office hours
We cannot suggest this enough! If you have a question about the course or just need to speak with your professor, go to their office hours. They're scheduled for you so take advantage of them.
Participation in class and discussions is the quickest way to get a professor to notice you. So raise your hand and contribute. You're probably asking a question that everyone has or even making a comment that most other people were thinking too, don't be afraid to speak up.
Do the work
If you come to class prepared, the professor will notice. (Just like if you come to class unprepared...) So do the reading and the homework they assign.
Seriously, it's that easy. Just put the effort in to your classes that they deserve and interact with the professor. You never know when you'll need a reference letter from them!
