What I Hate About Sonoma In the Fall

We all love Sonoma State... of course. But there are some things that I could do without when fall rolls around.

1. The Lovely Sonoma Aroma

Lock your doors and close your windows because the Sonoma Aroma is alive and dangerous. The lovely smell seems to especially surface in the fall and there's no escaping it. FYI the reason it smells this way is because our campus is surrounded by local farms.

2. Hot & Cold, Yes & No Weather

Hey weather, why do you decide to be absolutely freezing in the morning and then by the afternoon a nice sunny and 75? Why do you do this?

3. Parking

Actually this is basically year round but during the fist few weeks of the semester every person in Sonoma County is fighting for a parking spot. May the odds be ever in your favor.

4. How long the line for coffee is

Yes, we all know it is vital that you get your PSL, but come on. The lines for coffee are so long in the fall that you might as well pull out your textbook and do homework while waiting in line.

5. The overcrowded gym

#fitnessgoals are so in right now, making the gym more of a social spot than a workout facility. I don't want to see every person I know at Sonoma while I'm dripping with sweat from my workout, thank you.

Even after all of this, I can't imagine my life any other way. Wake up and breathe in the fresh scent of cows, and realize how lucky you are to go to Sonoma State. SSU, we love you!
