Cultural Graduation Ceremonies

Hey Graduating Seawolves!

Graduation is around the corner and SSU is preparing the best graduation experience possible. In addition to the Sonoma State University Commencement ceremony on May 21st, SSU will also be hosting the Cultural Graduation Ceremonies for our graduates who are a part of the listed communities. The cultural graduation ceremonies consist of Raza Grad, Black Grad, API (Asian Pacific Islander) Grad, and Rainbow Grad (LGBTQ).

The date, time, and location for each Cultural Graduation Ceremonies are as follows:

Rainbow Grad

Thursday May 19th | 5:00-7:00 PM | Ballroom B

Cultural Graduation Reception

Friday May 20th | 5:30-7:30

SSU, in partnership with The HUB, will be hosting a Cultural Graduation Reception. We welcome all Cultural Graduation participants, friends, allies, and families to celebrate this momentous occasion with a dinner buffet and featured performances from varying ensembles representing the different cultures that we shall be honoring. 

Cultural Grad Celebrations – Call for Grads!!!

If you are interested in being a part of any of these cultural graduation ceremonies, you must register with the respective graduation coordinator. To register, send an email to the respective graduation coordinator(s) with the following information:

1.       Full Name

2.       Age

3.       Major & Minor

4.       Plans After Graduating

5.       1 sentence/quote to put on program

The deadline to register for all ceremonies will be Friday, April 22nd. SSU and the HUB wants to provide all of the Cultural Graduation participants with the best experience possible and in order to do that we must have everyone register a month before the graduation so that we can plan accordingly.
