SSU Math Colloquium Presents: One or Two Things You Can Do With Linear Algebra

  • Sonoma State University 1801 E Cotati Ave Rohnert Park, CA, 94928 United States (map)

The Sonoma State University Department of Mathematics and Statistics presents Henry Boateng, San Francisco State University. Linear Algebra has a lot of cool applications. However, because of time constraints, a typical Linear Algebra class is not able to cover any meaningful applications. In this talk, we will try to extend and apply our knowledge from MATH 322 to some of these applications. We will look at image compression, image detection and perhaps noise filtering. Series supported by Instructionally-Related Activities Funds. For more information about this series, go to www.sonoma.edu/math
