Soak Up the Sun

Imagine a job where fun is the number one goal and adventure rules the itinerary. A week at Super Kids Camp is jam packed with swimming in the aquatics pool, climbing on the rock wall, educational activities, and weekly field trips. Incorporating fun into things like art, science, drama, and sports makes Super Kids Camp the place to be as a camp counselor. You can gather your summer savings while enjoying each moment in the sunshine, exploring Sonoma County attractions, and embracing the beauty of our campus with all of your new friends.

Professional Experience

If you have any interest in working with kids, Super Kids Camp brings you both fun and hands-on experience. Dolores Salazar, a current Super Kids Camp Supervisor and previous counselor said, “seeing the job description on Handshake attracted me because Super Kids Camp is a program that is encompassed by an educational institution and provides a level of activity combined with curriculum that you don’t see very often in other camps.” This is the perfect position for anyone who may want to be gaining real-life experience and resume building in the field of working with children, recreational programs, or both!

Community Year Round

The opportunities are endless when it comes to working an on-campus job, especially at Super Kids Camp. You will not only grasp what it is like to have the convenience of working where you study, but also your network with Sonoma State students, peers, and staff will grow and prosper into the semesters to come. The relationships that are built throughout the summer don’t end when camp does, they will only begin. Being a Super Kids Camp Counselor provides the chance for growth within the program, which is another reason why Super Kids Camp Supervisor, Stephanie Sandoval, chose to work at Super Kids Camp. With a role in an on-campus program, you are opening up doors to success for your college experience at SSU.

You may think that the kids are the only ones who will have an unforgettable summer…but what you don’t know yet is the life lessons and memories that YOU will gain from being a Super Kids Camp counselor. Apply on Handshake by Saturday April 15th!
