Social Media Marketing Coordinator

Do you share and post social media in your sleep? Do you know how to grow an online presence like no other? Seawolf Living is looking for a creative social media expert who wants to join the coolest squad in the quad! The Social Media Marketing Coordinator will assist in creating content for Seawolf Living and our other departments as assigned on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and other social media platforms. You will get hands-on experience while also learning the ins and outs of marketing and communications. If you enjoy being creative, keeping up with the trends, and understand how to build an online community YOU may be the person for US!
Responsibilities:
Create engaging content visually and in writing with the appropriate tone and voice geared towards specific target markets in many formats across all channels
Manage and actively monitor assigned social media profiles and presence and engage in relevant social discussions as well as engage with our brand audience
Ability to work independently and collaboratively alongside other marketers to help distribute content that entertains our audience and supports marketing goals
Regularly develop social media marketing campaigns
Execute a results-driven social media strategy by tracking, measuring and analyzing all initiatives
Keep up with the ever-changing trends on social media platforms and identify opportunities for implementation
Work actively with the Marketing and Communications team to grow channels
Assist with videos including creating concepts and being on-screen talent
Qualifications:
Proven work experience with social media for a business is preferred
Highly knowledgeable and a native user of Instagram, Tiktok, Facebook, and BeReal with the ability to grasp future trends in digital technologies
Strong understanding of current technologies. Must be able to grasp new concepts quickly.
Works well in an environment requiring quick learning, flexibility, and problem solving.
Working understanding of photography and comfortable taking photos of people on an iPhone and camera
Strong project management skills with attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication. Must be able to write, proofread, and edit copy with correct grammar, spelling, punctuation, and vocabulary.
Results driven, proactive, and able to work autonomously with minimal supervision
Strong intercultural fluency and ability to work within and support an inclusive work environment
Works well under pressure and tight deadlines
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign and Photoshop) preferred but not required
Positive attitude accompanied by the ability to adapt to a fast-paced environment
Desire to expand skill set and gain real-world marketing experience

Additional Information:
Average hours: 15-20 hours a per week
Starting Wage: $17.75 per hour with room for advancement in the future
Work Location: Entrepreneurial Activities Marketing Department in the Student Affairs office in the Student Center
Work for this role begins immediately upon hiring and continues through the Spring 2024 term.
